Ellen Mary Valley Crawfordville:Mrs. Ellen Mary Hopkins Valley, 63, of Sandy Cross Rd., died Saturday,August 25, 2012, at her home. Ms. Valley was born in Darmstadt, Germany, but was raised here and attended school in Wilkes County.She was a claims processor in the insurance industry.She was the daughter of Theodore Hopkins and Marianne Geissler Hopkins.She enjoyed quilting, and was a member of the Tuality Valley Quilt Guild. Ms. Valley is survived by a son, Anthony Corns (Tracey), of Crawfordville; one daughter, Tina Fleminger, of Traverse City, MI; and six grandchildren, Brian Corns, Nicholas Corns, Hayley Corns, Christian Fleminger, Paulina Fleminger, and Natalie Fleminger. Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
