Mrs. Linda Moore Echols

May 9, 1947 - February 4, 2022

Mrs. Linda Moore Echols, 74, of Philomath Rd. in Rayle, entered into rest on Friday, February 4, 2022, at Wills Memorial Hospital. Linda was born in Washington, Ga., on May 9, 1947, to Cecil A. and Mary Dean Simons Moore, had lived here all of her life, and was a homemaker. She was twice married and widowed. She was first married to Ronnie Callaway, and second to Robert M. “Buck” Echols. She graduated from the Washington-Wilkes High School, and was a member of the County Line Baptist Church. She loved her family, and got great joy from her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her three daughters, Angela Callaway Armour (Greg), of Rayle, Cissy Echols Smith (Scott), of Washington, and Lou Echols Heard (Richard), of Rayle; two brothers, Mark Moore (Bess) and Sam Moore (Dawn), both of Washington; Seven grandchildren, Samantha Callaway, Cody Armour, Hunter Armour, Abby Connell, J. T. Smith, Mattie Heard, and Hank Heard; and nine great grandchildren, Emma Callaway, Ava Callaway, Bree Long, Zachary Thompson, Gracie Thompson, Bailey Thompson, Brantley Thompson, Sadie Connell, and Lilah Connell. A memorial service will be held at 2:00p.m. on Sunday (tomorrow), February 6, 2022, at her home in her front yard (2310 Philomath Rd., Rayle, GA 30660) with Rev. Jim Newsome officiating.
