Mr. William Dozier

October 29, 1929 - January 16, 2013

Mr. William (Bill) Thomas Dozier, 83, of N. Alexander Ave., died January 16, 2013, at Trinity Hospital in Augusta. A native of Lincolnton, Georgia, he was the son of the late, Benjamin S. and Mamie Lou Cartlidge Dozier. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Mary Edna Ferguson and brother, Lindsey Dozier and step-daughter, Joyce Griffith. He was a heavy machine operator for Champion Wood Products. Mr. Dozier was an Army veteran of Korean War, a member of VFW 5899, where he served as commander on several occasions, American Legion Post 205, was a Mason and a member of the Methodist Church in Lincolnton. Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Wiggins Dozier; step son, Jerome (Carol) Denton, Gibson; step daughter, Jackie (Paul) Justis, Port St. Lucci, FL; sister, Mildred Tyler, Tignall; three nephews; Best friends, Bonnie and Luke Martin, Thomson, favorite step-brother & sister- in- law, David and Robin Wiggins, Mitchell; loving pets, Feebie and Lindsey. Memorial services will be Saturday, January 19, 2013, at 11:00 am at Hopkins Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Kalliokoski officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lafayette Mason Lodge #23 or the Shriners Childrens Hospital, 400 N.E. Ponce de Leon Ave., Atlanta, GA
