Cheryl Lynn Foster

Cheryl “Cheri” Lynn Foster of Danburg, Georgia, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2026, in Tignall, Georgia. Cheri was born on September 3, 1946, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Virginia and Howell Fulcher. She married her high school sweetheart, Franklin “Frank” H. Foster, Sr., in 1965, and lived most of her life in and around Atlanta, Georgia.

After raising a family, Cheri graduated from Georgia State University with a B.A. in English in 1995. Her passions were gardening, reading, and being involved in her church. In 2016, Cheri and Frank moved to Wilkes County, Georgia, where they purchased a Victorian cottage and kept horses, goats, a donkey, and several dogs.

Cheri is survived by her husband Frank, daughter Sharon Foster Jones (Craig), daughter Virginia “Ginny” Lucile King (Shane), grandsons John King (Caitlin), Grady Jones, Tate Jones, Garrett Foster, Wilkes Jones, granddaughter Laney King, and brother Timothy D. Fulcher (Patty), as well as many dear friends and family. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Franklin “Franky” H. Foster, Jr.

Family and friends will be received for visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Fishing Creek Baptist Church (1762 Sandtown Road, Tignall, Georgia), with a luncheon served prior to the visitation, beginning at 11:30 a.m. The funeral will begin at the church at 2:00 p.m.
