Clyatt Rousey

Mr. Clyatt Richard Rousey, 96, of Social Circle, died April 22, 2010 at his home. He was a native of Broad, Georgia, the son of the late Gordon Richard and Lessie Moon Rousey.He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Frances Bailey Rousey and son, Richard Keith Rousey. He was a retired truck driver and a member of Beulah Baptist Church.Clyatt and Frankie were lovers of the wilderness and nature and spent the first ten years after retirement living in their motor-home traveling the country, touring national parks.Papoo stayed busy enjoying family, gardening and growing the best tomatoes in Georgia. Graveside services will be Sunday, April 25th at 3pm in the Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors include one son, Bryson Rousey of Phoenix, Arizona; two daughters, Rebecca (Lawson) Moss, of Social Circle and Judy (Ray) Dobelmann, of Galveston, Texas; one sister, Winifred (Lewis) Gunter, of Fort Valley, GA; six grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 6-8pm. It was his request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery fund, c/o Mrs. Vera Harper, 3198 Delhi Rd., Tignall, Ga. 30668 Arrangements are in care of Hopkins Funeral Home.
