With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Gail Gould, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who left this world on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the age of 62.
Born on a sunny Wednesday in Hollywood, Florida, on November 14, 1962, Gail brought warmth and light wherever she went. She spent her formative years in Florida before making Washington, Georgia, her home.
A devoted homemaker, where she skillfully balanced family life and her own pursuits. Her hands brought life to beautiful creations through sewing, a pastime she cherished deeply. Gail had an affinity for the ocean and found great joy and peace at the beach. Above all, she relished the time spent with her beloved grandchildren, who filled her life with laughter and love.
Gail is survived by her loving husband, Randy Gould of Washington, GA, her devoted mother, Carolyn Williams Campbell of Leesburg, FL, and her four children: Ed Durham (Patty) of Washington, GA, Jennifer Zimmerman of Rayle, GA, Linda Doty of South Jordan, UT, and Natasha Kamp of Lincolnton, GA. She also leaves behind her siblings: Judy Taylor of Orlando, FL, Dwayne Taylor (Dawn) of Bunnell, FL, Chris Campbell of Leesburg, FL, and Charles Campbell of Palm Coast, FL.
Gail was the proud grandmother of Nathan Durham, Levi Durham, Thomas Mauldin, Savannah Slaton, Cole Miller, Autumn Miller, Krista Kamp, and Kaylin Kamp. Her family circle will soon welcome another precious addition with a great-grandchild on the way. Many aunts, uncles, and extended family members also mourn her loss.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles M. Taylor, Sr., her brother, Charles M. Taylor Jr., and her grandson, Axel Jones, all of whom she will join in eternal rest.
To celebrate Gail's life and legacy, her family plans to hold a celebration of life service on the shores of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, allowing those who loved her to gather in a place that brought her so much happiness.
While Gail may no longer walk among us, her spirit will forever linger in the gentle whisper of the ocean breeze and the loving hearts of her family and friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Hopkins Funeral Home in Washington, GA.
