Harriett B. Callaway Mrs. Harriett Blackwell Callaway, 94, of Franklin Ave., died Wednesday, January 1, 2014, at Wills Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Callaway was born in Lincoln County and had lived most of her life in Washington.She was the widow of Milton S. Callaway, and was the daughter of the late J. W. Blackwell and Lilly Brown Blackwell.She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Washington, and was an avid golfer.She loved playing golf with her friends, but especially cherished the times that she played with her husband, Mit.She also enjoyed playing Bridge.She was preceded in death by two sons, Ronnie and Steve. Memorial services will be held Friday, January 3, 2014, at 4:00 pm at Hopkins Funeral Home with Rev. Albert Huyck officiating. Mrs. Callaway is survived by one son, Milton Baron Callaway, of Orangeburg, SC, and one daughter, Beth Callaway Buller (Rick), of Washington; two sisters, Margaret B. Elam, of Lincolnton, and Peggy Paquette, of Piscataway, NJ; and 10 grandchildren, Jason Buller, Evan Buller, Betsy Jill Callaway, Mit Callaway, Karla Callaway, Kayre Callaway, Jeremie Callaway, Anthony Callaway, Audrey Callaway, and Angela C. Armour. Memorial contributions may be made to the Washington First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 603, Washington, GA30673.
