Helen Norris

Helen was born in 1931 in Wilkes County, Georgia to her late parents Brantley Calloway Cosby and Mattie Maxwell Cosby.

After graduating from Tignall High School in 1948, Helen moved to Atlanta, attending business school where she met her future husband Ernest M. Norris. They later settled in Clarkston, GA.

Helen was a long time member and Sunday School teacher at Rehobeth Baptist Church in Tucker, GA.

After retiring from Prudential Insurance Company, Helen pursued her desire to travel and see the world.

Following Ernest’s death 1999, Helen remained self sufficient until her 90’s.

Helen was preceded in death by her sisters Catherine Cosby Stokes, Nancy Cosby Coursey and Frances Cosby Hardy.

Helen is survived by her daughter Kathy Agan (Danny), grandson Danny Agan, Jr (Julie) and grandchildren Anna and Joe Agan, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be no service. Donations can be made to Rehobeth Baptist Church in Tucker, GA or Washington Wilkes Animal Shelter.
