Jimmy Bailey Washington:Mr. James E. Bailey, 59, died Saturday evening, November 20, 2010, at the Medical College of Georgia. Mr. Bailey was born in Washington, GA, grew up and attended school in Lincolnton, and lived and worked in Washington for the remainder of his life.He was the son of Edna Holsomback Bailey and of the late Baxter Bailey.He was a lineman for the City of Washington Electrical Department for 37 years and served in the South Carolina National Guard for 23 years.He was a member of the Salem Baptist Church. A memorial service with full military honors will be held Wednesday, November 24, 2010, at 12:00 noon at the Ebenezer Baptist Church with Rev. Albert Huyck officiating.There will be a private interment at the Bailey-Wade Family Cemetery . Mr. Bailey is survived by his wife, Brenda L. Bailey, of Washington; one son, James E. (Jamie) Bailey, Jr., of Orlando, FL; two daughters, Ann Nicole (Niki) Bailey, of Washington, and Lindsey Dyan Callaway, of Atlanta; his mother, Edna H. Bailey, of Lincolnton; one brother, Richard (Linda) Bailey, of Waynesboro; and one sister, Lindy (Wilmer) Byrd, of Lincolnton.He was preceded in death by his father, Baxter Bailey. City of Washington Electric Department employees will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6-8 at Hopkins Funeral Home.
