John Milton Clemmons Sr., of Crawfordville, Georgia, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, June 13, 2026, at the age of 60. Born on September 5, 1965, in Greensboro, Georgia, John spent his life dedicated to his family, community, and the profession he loved.

John was a longtime resident of Crawfordville, Georgia, a town where he also grew up and where many cherished memories were built. He was the beloved son of the late George Leon Clemmons and Lillie Kathryn Taylor Clemmons.

John dedicated his career to emergency medical services, proudly serving in Greene County, Taliaferro County, Elbert County, and Wilkes County. His leadership as a former Director of Wilkes County EMS left a lasting legacy, improving the lives of countless individuals in his community.

Beyond his professional life, John was passionate about horseback riding and was an enthusiastic competitor in barrel racing. He spent many weekends with his horses, sharing his love for sport with friends and family.

John's life was anchored in faith, and he was an active member at Crawfordville Presbyterian Church. His spirituality was the cornerstone of his generous spirit and compassion for those around him.

John is survived by his devoted wife of 41 years, Lisa Wood Clemmons, of Crawfordville, Georgia; his children, John Milton Clemmons, Jr. (Helen) of Crawfordville, Georgia, Nina Jordan (Timothy) of Augusta, Georgia, Nicholas Clemmons (Amy) of Washington, Georgia, and Joyce Clemmons (Michael Fillingim) of Demorest, Georgia; and his loving sister, Kay Kelly (Lloyd) of Crawfordville, Georgia. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Lily Clemmons, Emmalee Jordan, Emerson Jordan, Camille Clemmons, Cooper Clemmons, Gwendelyn Clemmons, and niece, Kristy Kelley. His family and friends will remember him for his kindness, humor, and steadfast heart.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a service in the Chapel of Hopkins Funeral Home at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in the Crawfordville Cemetery.
