Mabel C West

Mrs. Lena Mabel Chafin West, 97, of Stoney Ridge Rd., died Friday, August 21, 2009, at Heritage Health Care of Wilkes.Mrs. West was a native of Wilkes County, and was the daughter of the late George P. Chafin and Connie Mae Moss Chafin.She was retired from Royal Manufacturing Co., was a homemaker and a member of Phillips Mill Baptist Church.She was the widow of Daniel Everette West, and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Ann West Rogers and a son, Shelton Edward West.Mrs. West is survived bysons and daughters in law, Marion and Joyce West and Bobby and Peggy West, both of Washington;daughters and son in law, Shirley W. Goldman, of Lincolnton, and MaryW. and Louie Gene Hubbard, of Washington. One sister, Blanche C. Sisson, of Washington: 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.Memorial contributions may be made to the Phillips Mill Baptist Church
