It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marcia Eileen Hartman, age 72, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Marcia Eileen Hartman was born on Thursday, March 18, 1954, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, and peacefully passed away on Sunday evening, July 26, 2026, at Piedmont Augusta Hospital.
Marcia was a devoted homemaker whose life was centered around her family's happiness and well-being. She was self-employed and found great joy in managing her household and nurturing her loved ones. A woman of many talents, Marcia was an avid seamstress who crafted beautiful pieces that will continue to be cherished by her family. Her passion for genealogy connected her with her ancestors, while her gardening showcased her love for nature. Marcia was also an enthusiastic reader, always eager to immerse herself in a story. Marcia Attended the Washington First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her loving husband, Daniel Hartman of Washington, Georgia, and her two sons, Michael Justin Hartman of Washington, Georgia, and Matthew Jacob Hartman and his wife Heather Lynn of Harlem, Georgia. Marcia also leaves behind her brothers, Mark Miller and Danny Miller, and two adored grandchildren, Rachel Reyes and Liam Hartman.
Marcia now joins her beloved parents, Ray Arliegh Miller and Janet Louise Duncan Miller, in eternal rest.
Funeral services to honor and celebrate Marcia’s life will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 5:00 PM at the First Baptist Church Washington. Following the service, Marcia will be laid to rest at the Washington-Wilkes Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will be received for visitation one hour prior to the services in the church.
