Mrs. Thelma Jean Edwards Moore, 86, of Washington, passed away Saturday evening, September 5, 2020, at her home.Mrs. Moore was born in Taliaferro County and had lived most of her life in Wilkes County.She was the daughter of the late Glenn Young Edwards and Thelma Amanda Fouche Edwards, and was the wife of William Mark (Bill) Moore.She was a bookkeeper for Pet Milk in Washington for at least 25 years, last worked as a daycare operator for a number of years, and had been attending the Phillips Mill Baptist Church in Washington before she got so ill.. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Joe Carswell Barnett III. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, William Mark (Bill) Moore, of Washington; three daughters, Peggy Moore Anderson, Debbie M. Barnett, and Amanda Ruth Thomas, and husband George, all of Washington; one son, William Mark (Billy) Moore, Jr., of Washington; four grandchildren, Felicia Rogers Thornton (Chad), Stacey Rogers Carter (Casey), Bryan Carswell Barnett (Emily), and George Lindsey Thomas (Lauren); five great grandchildren, Steven Grier Carter, Emerson Riley Carter, Mason Allen Thornton, Maggie Alyssa Thornton, and Lilly Claire Barnett; one brother, James Roy Edwards (Marian), of Social Circle; and one sister, Myra Edwards Maxwell (Corrie), of Washington. Graveside services will be 4:00 pm Tuesday, September 8, 2020, at the Phillips Mill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Mark Woods and Rev. Arthur Key officiating.Pallbearers will be Mark Moore, Shane Moore, Benji Edwards, Andy Edwards, Barry Moore, and Keith Vidrine. The family will be at the home of Hugh Hopkins and Peggy Moore Anderson, 738 Hallford Rd., Washington, GA.
