Thomas "Pete" Armour

April 11, 1954 — April 9, 2026

Farmington, MO

Listen to Obituary

Thomas “Pete” Armour, 71, of Farmington, Missouri passed away Thursday, April 9th, 2026, at home. He was born April 11th, 1954, in Washington, GA to the late Guy and Coetta (Franklin) Armour. Pete grew up in Georgia but spent many of his years in Montana. He married the love of his life, Pam (Holdman) Armour in 2006 and they eventually moved back to St. Francois County, MO, where Pam grew up.

Pete was a member of Open Door Baptist Church of Desloge, MO. He loved the Lord and always tried to live his life as pleasing unto God. He was a retired truck and fuel tank driver, having worked in the industry for 48 years, with a perfect driving record.

He also loved Bluegrass Gospel music very much and spent many years playing and singing with various friends and family. He was a member of the Shiloh Bluegrass Gospel group, and they cut a CD in 2003 in Georgia.

He had a wonderfully off-beat sense of humor and a heart for animals. Pete also absolutely loved the west and his time living in Montana. He was born and raised in Georgia but was a cowboy at heart. After retiring in Montana and moving to Farmington, MO, Pete began working at John’s Pharmacy there. He loved all the guys that he worked with and greatly cherished their friendship. Pete’s family thanks each man at John’s for their friendship with Pete and for your concern and help when he became ill. Special thanks to Marty Meyer, Jason, J.R., Terry, and Jesse for your friendship and concern for Pete. Your friendship meant a lot to him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy Armour and Nancy (Franklin) Armour, 2 brothers Walter ‘Slim’ Armour and Johnnie Armour, nephew, Charles Russell ‘Russ’ Armour, and many beloved uncles, aunts, and cousins.

He is survived by his wife, Pam (Holdman) Armour, of Farmington, Missouri, nephew Bryon Armour and his wife, Jennifer of Montana, great nephews Jefferey “Hooper” Armour and Brad Armour; great-great nephew, Luke Armour, and great-great niece, Lyndon Armour; special beloved cousins Douglas ‘Bardahl’ Armour and his wife Pat, Jerry Armour, Fred and wife Nancy Armour, and Charlie Armour, all of Georgia, and Janice (Armour) Browning of Metairie, LA. He is also survived by many other beloved cousins and cherished extended family, including brother and sister-in-law Kevin and Karen Kemp of Missouri, many nieces, great nieces, and great nephews in Missouri; and special long time Georgia friends, Lamar Aaron, Donnie Elliott, Jimmy Chambers, and Roger Bennett.

Special thanks to Pastor Duane Hampton and wife, Lisa, of Open Door Baptist Church in Desloge and to the whole church family, who provided prayers and comfort during Pete’s illness; to Serenity Hospice; and to Pastor Jon Brown of Blessed Hope Baptist Church of Farmington, and Bob and Barb Webb of Farmington, MO.
