Our History
Hopkins Funeral Home was established in 1952, when Carl Hopkins announced the opening of the funeral home in the February 14 issue of The News-Reporter. The business was located on East Robert Toombs Avenue in a residence originally built by the late Harry E. Booker.
From the beginning, Mr. Hopkins brought training and experience in funeral service and promised courteous, efficient, economical, and sympathetic care to the families he served. Over the years, the home was thoughtfully remodeled, and the grounds were enhanced to provide a more welcoming and comforting environment.
Today, Hopkins Funeral Home continues its tradition as a family-oriented funeral and cremation provider, serving the Washington community with the same dedication to care and compassion that defined its founding.
